The Mathematics Center of the University of Porto (CMUP) has opened a call for applications to 3 research scholarships to be granted to candidates wishing to pursue a PhD degree in Mathematics at CMUP. The terms of this call are in accordance with FCT's Regulations for Research Scholarships (RBI) and the Research Fellowship Holder Statute.

José Carlos Santos, member of CMUP and of the Department of Mathematics of FCUP, has been elected President of the Portuguese Mathematical Society—SPM for 2022–2024.

Other CMUP members in the direction board of SPM are Óscar Felgueiras and Paulo Vasconcelos.

CMUP has opened 2 calls for junior research scholarships aimed at students enrolled in a Master's degree program in Mathematics. One is in Algebra and the other in Geometry. All details can be found at the links provided below.
