Outreach Projects

Este site tem como principais objectivos (i). desenvolver conteúdos que mostrem a enorme diversidade de interacções entre Matemática e Arte, (ii). falar de vários temas de Matemática, de uma forma rigorosa, embora elementar (ao nível dos curriculos actuais do ensino secundário), que possam ser úteis para o criador de Arte, (iii). desenvolver conteúdos que possam também ser usados no ensino da Matemática através da Arte. 

Com a construção deste arquivo pretende-se reunir e organizar documentos, que poderão apoiar actividades de investigação e ensino.

O iNIGMA é um grupo de alunos de Matemática da FCUP que tem por objetivo a divulgação matemática e o apoio a esta disciplina. O iNIGMA dinamiza aOficina Matemática onde semanalmente se esclarecem dúvidas e se discutem problemas e enigmas matemáticos. Também é responsável pela organização de palestras que tradicionalmente decorrem à hora de almoço, de modo a evitar sobreposição com tempos letivos.

This is a Summer School for high-school students interested in broadening their mathematical knowledge and curious for new challenges. The School offers courses, talks and an opportunity to develop group projects in the area of Mathematics and its applications. 

Within the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, the Mathematics Department is responsible for the teaching, research, outreach and for providing services to the community in the area of Mathematics and its applications.

CMUP is also dedicated to promoting Mathematics outside of academia and to the general public.
