Title
On Finite Generation of Right Noetherian Monoids
A monoid is said to be right noetherian if all of its right congruences are finitely generated. An intriguing open question is whether every right noetherian monoid is finitely generated. In this talk, we will survey progress on this problem, with particular focus on recent developments in the cancellative case.
