In this talk we will consider a pattern recognition algorithm "Kora-n" which has been successfully applied for classification purposes in various areas of natural sciences and humanities. Application for diagnostics of schizophrenia will be considered in detail, but other cases will be also reviewed. The presentation will be at the elementary level, with no prerequisite knowledge required, though fundamental questions related to the algorithm at hand will be posed.
