In this talk, I intend to give a view of the contents of the book with the same title, which will appear soon (Dimension  Groups and Dynamical Systems, Fabien Durand and Dominique Perrin, Cambridge University Press). I will in particular give several examples of the computation of the dimension group of some particular systems, like odometers or substitution shifts.
